For most of her life, Dr Rosita Arvigo worked closely with her local community in Belize, helping generations of families. She loved nothing better than massaging babies in their mothers’ bellies, watching them grow after birth and then later supporting them as they created families of their own. As Abdominal Therapy practitioners we find a sweet joy in doing the same. We love to meet people at the start of their journey, often before conception, and then work with them through and beyond both pregnancy and birth.
Once you have completed Abdominal Therapy for Professionals Parts 1 and 2 (or the equivalent) you may participate in this 4-day experiential class that takes you on a deep dive into the childbearing year. This class enhances your ability to support pre-conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
We will focus on natural fertility enhancement protocols and learn how to work with people who chose assisted reproductive technologies. You will master bodywork techniques to help clients have a more comfortable and balanced pregnancy and help them prepare for birth. We will also discuss how to support client healing during postpartum.
You’ll learn:
How to support natural fertility enhancement with Abdominal Therapy
The basics of fertility awareness and optimal timing of intercourse for conception
How to support a client that is undergoing assisted fertility technologies such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)
Reproductive anatomy and physiology
Pregnancy anatomy and physiology
The physiology of birth
The common causes of discomforts during pregnancy, and the ways in which Abdominal Therapy can help relieve them
Abdominal Therapy techniques to support your clients throughout pregnancy
How to perform Abdominal Therapy in the side-lying position

On completion you will receive from the Abdominal Therapy Collective:
